7 Nights in the Dolomites

Day 1: Arrival in Venice Arrive in Venice and check in for your overnight stay. Explore Venice today. Optional: Gondola ride. Hotel: Venice.

Day 2: Venice → Drive to Cortina d'Ampezzo Pick up your Campervan and drive north into the Dolomites toward Cortina d'Ampezzo or a nearby campground (your first base). Depending on arrival time: hike or drive up to Passo Giau for stunning views, or just settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening in Cortina. Camp 1: Cortina / area around Cortina.

Day 3: Tre Cime di Lavaredo ("Three Peaks") Early morning drive to Rifugio Auronzo (the road up is very scenic) to start the Tre Cime loop hike. Hike the Giro delle Tre Cime (about 10km loop, 3–4 hrs) → includes Rifugio Lavaredo and Rifugio Locatelli with iconic views. Late afternoon: return to base, relax, or do a short sunset viewpoint. Camp 1: Cortina / area around Cortina.

Day 4: Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee) Drive from Cortina area to Lago di Braies. Walk the loop around the lake (circa ~3.6km). Optional: rent a rowboat, photograph the lake early in the morning or at sunset for the best light and fewer people. Later: drive toward Val Gardena or Ortisei for your next base. Camp 2: Val Gardena / Ortisei area.

Day 5: Rest Day Rest day at leisure. Explore the scenic town of Ortisei with an option for shopping. Camp 2: Val Gardena / Ortisei area.

Day 6: Cinque Torri & Surrounds Drive to Cinque Torri and hike around the towers. There's a loop plus WWI trenches / open-air war museum. Optionally combine with Rifugio Nuvolau or Rifugio Averau for panoramic ridgeline views. In the afternoon: drive some Dolomite passes (e.g. Passo Falzarego, Passo Giau), or chill in Val Gardena. Camp 2: Val Gardena / Ortisei area.

Day 7: Seceda / Alpe di Siusi Explore the Seceda ridgeline: dramatic jagged peaks and a very photogenic hike. Then go to Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm), Europe's largest high-altitude meadow, very peaceful for walking or relaxing. Alternatively, do a scenic drive around the passes near Val Gardena. Camp 2: Val Gardena / Ortisei area.

Day 8: Return to Venice On your way back down to Venice, if time allows: stop by Lago di Carezza (Karersee) or take other scenic passes. Drive to Venice, return the Campervan, and depart.
